Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am thrilled to be teaching the next generation of engineers at Stanford's hugely popular SPLASH program. I enjoy coming up with hands on activities to engage the students. In my classes students can expect to work on activities that help them close the gap between what they are learning and how it applies to their lives. I am passionate about creating a classroom culture of learning and excellence that allows the students to thrive. It is important to me that my students are actively engaged in learning through tangible experiential opportunities.

I have bachelors in Engineering and Computer Science from Rhodes University in South Africa. I have worked at various high tech companies in Silicon Valley such as Nvidia, Apple etc. I am currently teaching Engineering and Technology to elementary, middle and high school students in the Bay Area. Progressive technology and education are my 2 great passions. I enjoy evangelizing and educating youngsters about how to utilize technology to make a positive contribution in this world!

In my spare time I enjoy travelling and exploring with my family. I love experiencing the world through travel to new places and through service projects. My children are avid travelers and are always ready in a snap to jet set with Mom and Dad to another adventure!
