Brief Biographical Sketch:

Interested in water resources/engineering/planning/management particularly in developing countries. Might be going back to Mozambique this summer to work on a rural water supply project. Good times!

I'm a big fan of frisbee, scrabble, travel, badminton, tennis, sunflower seeds, Haribo gummy bears, snowboarding, and the Indian drum (tabla).

E575: Blue Gold: Making Water Drinkable in Splash! Fall 2009 (Oct. 10 - 11, 2009)
We drink, shower, cook, and clean with water from our taps every day, but this water usually doesn't start out so clean. Learn about how engineering deals with challenges in cleaning up water and even get a chance to build your own water filter! This is a more advanced introduction to water quality intended for high-school students to find out how water is purified before it reaches the tap.
