Brief Biographical Sketch:
Attended California Culinary Academy in SF in 2001 I have recently taught basic cooking classes at Palo Alto High and UC Berkeley In January of 2010 I went to Tijuana, Mexico for three weeks to teach underprivileged middle and high school students english. We are going to prepare basic vegetarian ingredients to make fresh spring rolls. We will also make traditional sauces from Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Quick, easy, healthy and FUN! When completed each student will be able to roll-play with customizing their favorite sauce-veggie combinations. The class will include fundamental techniques on food safety, knife work and an introduction to the Scoville Scale of measuring heat in hot peppers.
