Brief Biographical Sketch:
Inventor of TV-B-Gone universal remote controls. Co-founder of Noisebridge hackerspace in San Francisco. Pioneered Virtual Reality in mid-1980s. Co-founder of 3ware, a SillyValley RAID controller company. Anyone can learn the useful and fun skill of soldering! Once you see how easy it is, you can make anything with electronics, as well as repair things rather than throw them away. We will use a very simple blinky-light badge that everyone will make and take home to show your friends! And everyone will get theirs working.
I will also give an overview of electronics, and how it works.
