Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm a current junior at Stanford double majoring in philosophy and psychology. After taking SLE, Stanford's freshman philosophy program, in my first year, I knew I wanted to study philosophy, but I wanted to pair it with something else, too. I became interested in peer counseling in the winter of my freshman year, and soon afterwards, became interested in psychology. I do research now in the Culture and Emotion Lab, studying how romantic relationship expectations in Japan and the US differ, and how that affects relationship satisfaction in both cultures. Outside of classes, I play drums as a member for Stanford Taiko, plan events for the Catholic community at Stanford, and RA in a dormitory for current SLE freshmen. Down the line, I want to continue working in relationships as a clinical psychologist, and hopefully bring some lessons from philosophy into the field!
