Brief Biographical Sketch:

I knew nothing about Korea until two years ago, when my sister's roommate introduced her to Korean music videos. I find K-pop highly addictive and it makes me happy, so I love sharing it with others. Although the music videos and songs are enjoyable themselves, I also find that they provide a lot of information about modern Korean culture and values. Korean popular culture has also had a profound impact on my course of study here at Stanford-I began taking Korean this year, and I'm taking classes on Korean politics and society.
