Brief Biographical Sketch:

I was born in Maryland, then moved to Russia when I was 8, then South Africa when I was 13, then China when I was 18. I've been playing the piano for about a total of 13 years.

V1248: Keyboard Composition and Classical Music Theory in Splash! Spring 2011 (Apr. 16 - 17, 2011)
The course will be divided into the following three sections: (1) melody writing (2) harmonizing w/ chord progressions (3) typical keyboard voicing After each section will be a 5-20 minute practice session in which each student will begin a short composition incorporating the material most recently learned.


H813: Table Tennis in Splash! Spring 2010 (Apr. 17 - 18, 2010)
A one-hour workshop on various table tennis techniques and how to use them in games. Important drills and a lot of fun playing.


H911: How to Solve a Rubik's Cube in Splash! Spring 2010 (Apr. 17 - 18, 2010)
Ever wanted to learn how to solve that elusive Rubik's Cube in your drawer? Well, here's your chance! We will teach you a beginner's step-by-step method that you can use to solve any scrambled cube on your own! We recommend that you bring your own Rubik's Cube if you have one, but we will have cubes to lend out for a lesson.


H912: Solving the Rubik's Cube Quickly: An Introduction to Speedcubing in Splash! Spring 2010 (Apr. 17 - 18, 2010)
Can you already solve a Rubik's Cube? Would you like to be able to solve it faster? In this class, we will teach you some techniques to take the basic "layer-by-layer" method and make it more efficient. We'll also tell you what you can do to practice solving a cube faster, and what's out there in the world of "speedcubing." We highly recommend that you have (or buy) a cube to bring to the class.
