Year of Graduation: G

Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a third year graduate student at Stanford studying Geophysics. A huge part of my research is developing the Quake Catcher Network (QCN), a seismic network that uses volunteers' computers to record earthquakes. After a big earthquake (like the M8.8 earthquake in Chile earlier this year and the recent M7 and M6.3 earthquakes in Christchurch, New Zealand) I get to travel to the affected area and install my little accelerometers to record earthquakes. It's very exciting!
