B6968: How to build a virus in Splash Spring 2019 (May. 04 - 05, 2019)
Viruses are invisible to the naked eye yet they form beautiful and functional shapes that we can observe through a variety of techniques. In this course we will describe viruses and their infectious cycle in a cell. Then we will look at how viruses assemble into different shapes and sizes. We will explore the rules that govern the symmetry of a virus particle. Finally, we will discuss how understanding virus structure can advance human health.
