Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a PhD student in the Immunology program at the School of Medicine at Stanford University. I am originally from New York City (The Bronx) and grew up in the Dominican Republic. I attended Hunter College, located in New York City, where I majored in Neuroscience. I love to read (all kinds of books) and enjoy weightlifting. More importantly, I am truly passionate about outreach, mentoring, and teaching, and have had countless experiences doing so. I have tutored many college and high school students from different backgrounds and have served as a teaching assistant for various science and statistics classes. Most recently, I taught crime scene investigation (C.S.I.) to 7th graders where they learned how to be young forensic scientists! Overall, I want to use every opportunity to teach, mentor, and assist the younger generation of students in their educational journey.
