L6878: Bird-watching Basics on Stanford Campus in Splash Fall 2018 (Dec. 01 - 02, 2018)
Do you like birds and the outdoors? Or do you want to learn about the wildlife in your backyard? In this activity, we will walk around the Stanford campus (Oval & Cactus Garden) looking for and identifying local bird species. We have a good chance of seeing hummingbirds, woodpeckers, phoebes, kinglets, towhees, etc. You will learn birdwatching basics, including using a field guide to identify birds. You may be surprised how many different kinds of birds are living right on the Stanford campus.
