Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm a Stranford postdoc studying environmental microbiology in Environmental engineering department. I have taught in SPLASH once, and am very excited to be involved again this coming December to share the amazing aspects of microbes!

B6530: Introduction to Microbiology in Splash Spring 2018 (May. 05 - 06, 2018)
This course introduces basic principles of microbiology and emphasizes the importance of microbes on the biosphere and human life. We will begin by discussing the roles of microbes in the evolution of life. Then, we will discuss the distribution and the functional diversity of microorganisms in the environment in relation to ecosystem health and human welfare. Lastly, we will explore current developments in biotechnology that apply microbiology to sustainable lives.
